An Act of Kindness

An Act of Kindness

We always read about this man Simon in Mark 15:21, “ A certain man from Cyrene, Simon, the father of Alexander and Rufus, was passing by on his way in from the country, and they forced him to carry the cross.”
Who is this Simon?. What did he do to be mentioned in the gospel? All he did is a submission to carry the cross. In that submission we need to consider two things,
1. He Carried Jesus’ Cross though it was heavy
2. He carried it though it was a symbol of Shame among the people at that time.
And God did not forget his act, he gave him part to be mentioned in his word of glorious gospel. He had been read by many People for the last 2000+ years and he will be continued to read in the gospel for eternity.
That is what our God is, If we submit to take his cross and bear witness for him among our colleagues, friends and family though we feel like shame, God will certainly reward us to eternity and in this Life.

Let God open our eyes of understanding.
